Complex pitch perception in complex environments
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to better understand how pitch is coded and perceived throughout the lifespan of people with normal and impaired hearing. An improved understanding of pitch perception and coding should lead to advances in hearing devices (e.g., hearing aids and cochlear implants), which will improve communication, and hence the quality of life, for those living with hearing impairment. The proposed study will utilize behavioral data and computational modeling to explore the mechanisms of pitch.
