R01_Pilot study02_Jaw Muscle Metabolic and Brain-Derived Phenotypes of Chronic TMD Pain

Status: Recruiting

The purpose of this study is to learn whether heat applied to the jaw can reduce jaw pain and fatigue in adults with ongoing temporomandibular disorder (TMD) pain. Participants will complete a teeth-clenching task and receive heat therapy to the jaw. What we learn may help us better understand who is most likely to benefit from heat therapy for TMD pain.
