Rezpegaldesleukin (NKTR-358) in New Onset Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

This study is looking at whether rezpegaldesleukin can help preserve insulin-producing cells in people who were recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Participants will receive treatment every 2 weeks for 26 weeks, followed by a 6-month follow-up period.

This study is NOT accepting healthy volunteers
Inclusion Criteria:

• age 8 to 45 years
• recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) within the past 100 days
• have at least one blood test showing an immune response associated with T1D and some remaining insulin production

Exclusion Criteria:

• current or recent serious infection, including tuberculosis, HIV, or hepatitis B or C
• currently taking medications that suppress the immune system or have recently received certain immune-modulating treatments
• history of certain serious heart conditions, cancer, or organ transplant
• currently pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
