A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Deuruxolitinib in Adolescent Patients with Severe Alopecia Areata with an Open-Label Extension Period

The purpose of this study is to determine if deuruxolitinib is a safe and effective treatment for adolescents ages 12 to 17 with severe alopecia areata and at least 50% scalp hair loss.

Sex: Male or Female
Age Group: Up to 18 years old
This study is NOT accepting healthy volunteers
Inclusion Criteria:

• ages 12-17
• moderate to severe alopecia areata with at least 50% scalp hair loss

Exclusion Criteria:

• have a scalp condition, such as psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis, that requires treatment
• taking medications or other treatments that could affect hair growth or your immune system
• women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
