Mechanisms of acquired hearing deficits

Status: Recruiting

This study is being done to better understand hearing difficulties that may occur after repeated exposure to blasts in military service members. Researchers will compare hearing and listening abilities between individuals with and without a history of blast exposure to help improve future prevention and treatment strategies for hearing-related problems.

Sex: Male
Age Group: 18 years and over
This study is also accepting healthy volunteers
Inclusion Criteria:

• 18-35 years old
• hearing free of any conductive loss components
Exclusion Criteria:

• conductive components to hearing loss, including excessive ear wax
